The poem ‘song of myself’ is written by Walt whitman. all of his poems appeared in the collection known as ‘Leaves of Grass,’ which is famous for his free rhythms. In this poem, the poet celebrates himself. He not only talks about himself, but of manking in general. He praises nature and is overwhelmed by its wonders, the poet enjoys the beautiful union of the physical self with the spiritual self. He understands that the self can merge with everything all around him and will go different levels of transformation and will remain immortal. The ‘I’ in the poem goes through all the cycles of creation and destruction and is still content and happy.
